Why this experience matters

You only see Komodo once like this.

UNESCO World Heritage. Last living habitat of the Komodo dragon. One of the seven New Natural Wonders of the World. This is not a day trip — it's a bucket-list compression.

Bucket-list compression

Six icons. Sunrise to sunset.

Photograph Padar at dawn, share a beach with a Komodo dragon by mid-morning, float above mantas after lunch. No other one-day itinerary on earth lines up like this.

Visibility that rewrites memory

Turquoise so clear it feels staged.

Komodo National Park sits on one of the most biodiverse reef systems on the planet. 30-meter visibility, 1,000 fish species, and that impossible gradient between shallow and deep.

Wildlife encounters

Dragons. Mantas. Reef sharks.

Timed for feeding windows at Manta Point and active hours for the dragons. Our rangers know the ridges, the currents, and the quiet coves the ferry tours miss entirely.

What makes it different

A day trip crafted like a private yacht charter.

Same islands as everyone's Instagram feed. A completely different way of arriving.

I · Speed

35-knot speedboat

We reach Padar before the ferry crowds even board. Cover 160+ nautical miles where others barely see three islands.

II · Timing

Engineered by current

Manta Point, Pink Beach, and Taka Makassar shift hour by hour. We route against the flotilla, not through it.

III · Ranger

Certified park guide

Komodo rangers lead the dragon trek — safety, biology, and the stories ferries skip.

IV · Care

Breakfast · lunch · fruit · iced towels

Hot coffee at 5 AM. Fresh-caught barramundi at noon. Cold water on tap. No upsells, no sachets.

"The Padar sunrise was untouched — we were the first boat there. By the time the ferries arrived, we were already swimming at Pink Beach. The skipper felt like a friend by lunchtime."

"Booked GYG first, cancelled after a WhatsApp with EastXperience. Saved €140 per person, got a private charter, rerouted to a quieter reef when Manta Point was busy. No-brainer."

"We swam with seven mantas. Seven. Our guide knew exactly which cleaning station was active that morning — you don't get that on a 40-person ferry. Worth every rupiah."

Questions, answered

The things every traveler asks us.

What's the best month to go?
April through early November is the dry season — calm seas, peak visibility, highest manta density. July–August is peak demand, so book 4–6 weeks ahead. December–March is monsoon; we still run, but route dynamically based on conditions.
Will I actually see a Komodo dragon?
Yes — sightings are reliable year-round on both Komodo and Rinca Islands. Rangers know the active zones. We've never had a group return without multiple close encounters (at a safe distance).
Is snorkel gear included? What about a drone?
Snorkel mask, fins, and life vest are included and sanitized daily. Drone operation requires a permit in Komodo National Park — we can arrange a licensed operator for +IDR 750,000. GoPros are welcome.
What if the weather is bad?
We make the call the evening before based on BMKG (Indonesian Met) data. If we cancel, you receive a full refund or free reschedule. If we re-route mid-day, we optimize for the best remaining stops — zero extra cost.
Can kids come? Non-swimmers?
Yes. We've hosted guests from age 5 to 78. Pink Beach and Taka Makassar have calm shallows; life vests are available for all. Let us know ages at booking so we can prep appropriately.
How do I pay, and how do I reach you the day of?
50% deposit via bank transfer or card to confirm; balance on arrival or online. You get the skipper's direct WhatsApp 48 hours before departure — no call centers, no forms.
Why is it cheaper than GetYourGuide?
Because you're booking the operator directly. OTAs add a 20–30% platform margin on top of our rate. Same boat, same skipper, same crew — just without the middleman.
